As a mother and an experienced nanny myself, I realise the importance of reliable and knowledgeable childcare workers to help us juggle the many challenges we face in today’s society as parents. I have 10+ years’ experience working with children in a variety of different settings such as nurseries, family home's as both a support worker and nanny and for the NHS working in a paediatric clinic supporting neurodivergent children and their families. From these roles I have developed a strong sense of the importance childcare workers have to ensure families are able to reliably work, allow time to themselves, attend important events plus all those last-minute childcare issues that can arise out of the blue and leave us feeling overwhelmed and stressed! Let us take that extra task of your hands by finding you the best, reliable childcare for your family.
At nurture nannies we are committed to providing excellent, child and family centred care. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, our nannies are fully equipped and ready to become an important part of your family. Our nannies have a wide variety of experience with some specialising in early years and others with special educational needs and disabilities and much more. At Nurture Nannies we will personally select nannies we feel will be most suitable for your family based on their experiences and your childcare needs.
We ensure every nanny and sitter working for Nurture Nannies has:
We ensure our nannies plan fun and exciting days for your child, whether that is at home with specifically planned activities suited to your child's ability and interests or out and about to local parks, woodland walks and many more!
We offer a range of services suited to your needs. All you need to do is contact us and we will look through our portfolios of nannies to find ones best suited to your family. All fees will be dependent on the age of your child, how many children will be cared for, the days and times of placements, and the type of service. All services can be on a part-time, full-time, term time only or full year basis.
A permanent nanny offers a great alternative or addition to nursery which offers a more personal and unique approach to childcare. Permanent nannies become an important part of the family offering school or nursery drop offs/pick-ups, help with household chores, fun days out or activities at home, meal preparation, daily routine or even mother’s help.
Whilst offering the same aspects of childcare as a permanent nanny, a temporary nanny can be useful for those times when alternative childcare has fallen through at the last minute, there's been a change in family work hours, a family illness or emergency that requires longer than a babysitter but not necessarily for long term.
Again, this offers all the same aspects as a permanent nanny, but we will ensure we find you a nanny with significant, specific experience working with SEND children. This can help give families additional peace of mind that their nanny is equipped to care for their child appropriately for their individual needs.
A live-in nanny helps create a real sense of unity and support between family and nanny. This can also allow real flexibility with working hours which can benefit both the nanny and the family.
This allows parents and carers to have the freedom for those all-important date nights, to attend events and celebrations, whilst knowing their child is safe and sound in the comfort of their own home.
This is great option for those working long hours or are on holiday. This can provide peace of mind that your home or pet is taken care of whilst you are away.

Permanent Nanny Placement: £75
Temporary Nanny Placements and Baby/house/pet Sitters: from £15 per placement dependent on hours, how many children there is to care for and their ages

There are many perks to being a nanny. You grow an incredible bond with families and children, whilst developing your knowledge and understanding of children’s development, different family dynamics and using your initiative. Being a nanny allows creativity to thrive as you plan and create fun activities and days out for children.
You will need a minimum level 2 in childcare or a relevant qualification as well as a strong knowledge of child development in all ages. Prior experiences and references will be required, and a portfolio will be created for you which will be sent to families. A DBS check and paediatric first aid certification will always be required before you start working with us.
You will need to be fun, down to earth, easy to talk too and approachable. You must be able to sing nursery rhymes and read the same books on repeat, drink an imaginary cup of tea and eat imaginary dinners all whilst ensuring the little people you are looking after are kept safe and happy!
